Trident detectives are appealing for witnesses to a shooting in Wandsworth last night 15th September, which left two teenage boys wounded.

The incident happened just before 21.30 as a group of youths crossed the footbridge from King George's Park, near the Henry Price Estate into St John's Drive, Earlsfield SW18.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and discovered a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his back. He was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Another boy - believed to be aged 16 - suffered a minor wound to his foot. He was also taken to hospital, but was released after treatment.

DC Geoff Grogan, of Trident said: "We urge anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting or who might have seen the suspects fleeing the scene to contact us urgently. We particularly want to hear form anyone who may have information concerning the motive for this attack."

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
