Mark Teeling of the Shaftesbury Estate has been sentenced at Kingston Crown Court to 45 months imprisonment for a GBH during which he bit off part of a man’s ear in a drunken and unprovoked attack after a long drinking session.

Teeling was also sentenced to 12 months imprisonment (to run concurrently) for Possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Sgt Bob Sullivan of Shaftesbury SNT says: “This sentence rewards the hard work put in by Shaftesbury Safer Neighbourhoods officers in reducing anti social behaviour and drug dealing on the ward. It also send out a message that drunken violence will be severly punished.”
