In a corner of Purgatory called Hope, a defence lawyer has obtained a writ to force a retrial of Judas Iscariot.  Expert witnesses are called, including Mother Theresa and Freud. Direct witnesses, from the apostles to Pilate, give their testimony.  Meanwhile, catatonic with grief and guilt, Judas awaits a verdict...

"This stunning and unusual courtroom drama is a funny, humane and deeply moving study of faith and redemption," say the New Stagers.
