Council Leader Makes Statement Following London Bridge Attack
Wandsworth Council Leader Ravi Govindia has issued the following statement in response to last night’s terrorist attack in London Bridge:

“Last night our city suffered a horrifying and cowardly attack, the true extent of which is still becoming clear. London’s emergency services were at the scene within minutes and their brave and decisive action has clearly prevented the horror of this incident from affecting more innocent people.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this senseless attack and with their families and friends who are going through such unimaginable pain and anguish.

“The Police are now leading an extensive investigation and security patrols are being stepped up right across the city. The latest updates can be found on the Met website.

"Wandsworth Council will be in close contact with the emergency services and will support their operation in anyway we can.”
