After lit object lands in the pram
Police are appealing for information and witnesses
after an incident which started a fire in
a pram containing twin girls.
At around 18.50hrs on Monday, 22 October, a
woman was walking in York Road pushing her
twin daughters in a buggy.
The woman heard what she described as a
whizzing noise and looked up to see a lit
object flying over her head and starting a fire
in the pram.
The woman grabbed one of the girls and a
passer-by grabbed the other. Neither child
was injured and the fire fizzled out.
Officers from Wandsworth Police are investigating.
