Should election canvassers be bribing children with sweets?
I and many other members of my party are extremely concerned to learn that the Liberal Democrats have recently published an election helpers' manual that recommends giving sweets to children to encourage them to deliver election leaflets (see the link below). It says: "You go into the middle of a council estate with your leaflets and you shout at all the local kids you can see and hear ‘any of you lot want to help deliver all these leaflets?’ Then proceed Pied Piper like round the estate doling out badges and toffees and leaflets.”If there are any Liberals reading this, please would they tell us what they think of this advice, and whether they are following it during the current election campaign?http://www.conservatives.com/pdf/usingchildren.pdf
