Steve once introduced us to Google Earth..and then there is Google local....the worldly map websitesOn those websites we are able to zoom around the world..checking the containers lining the port in Barcelona..even to check the size of the lawn in our neighbours back gardens! (or count the number of swimming pools in the Grove park area)I was amazed once when...on this Forum... we were checking on the fine detail of the cricket pitch in Chiswick House grounds!. Richard Jennings was a key player in showing us the way.My son is currently working in Seattle for a week or two..and he has sent me an e-mail containing something new..new to me anyway. Windows local.live.comIt seems to be an enhanced Google Earth..but I'm struggling with the Tools. There's one shot of the Millennium Dome in great detail..with Tools to meander around. Birds Eye views etc etc. Chiswick streets are clearer than ever. And the Sultan of Brunei's pad in Windmill Lane in Osterley is not blacked out!!Put local.live.com in Google Search..and have a look. It seems new (2006) and worth exploring. You might be able to give us some tips!

What are trying to do, Jim? You've got the URL of a local.live.com page stuck on to an edited URL of a BBC webcam image. My PC won't display any images in this thread without me extracting the URLs and using them in another window.
