Honour Killing

Honour KillingHonour killing and female infanticide come from Pagan-Hindu-Judeo-Christian traditions. Hindus idolise women as Goddesses on one hand, while downgrading them on the sly at the same time. There is nothing in the Holy Quran and the Hadiths that may encourage people to kill their daughters. Infact, Islam came to abolish the dark ages of Pagan- Hindu –Judeo- Christian traditions. Islam is a matter of choice and there is no compulsion at all. It is a misconception that forced marriage and honour killing are part of Muslim culture. Forced marriage, honour killing and genital mutilation are rare practices among migrant communities. Muslim migrants are worried about institutional racism, binge drinking, drug addiction, incivility, gun and knife crimes, high rate of abortions and teen age pregnancies. An average of 20 English girls under the age of 16 falls pregnant every day. Muslim parents do not want their children to be integrated into such barbarity. Muslim women feel torn between two cultures, thanks to the British education system with non-Muslim monolingual teachers. It makes their lives very confusing. The tragedy of forced marriage and honour killing could have been avoided if the poor girls were educated in a single sex state funded Muslim schools by female Muslim teachers. Educational attainment rises quite significantly if boys and girls are educated separately. The tragedies are an eye opener for all those Muslim parents who send their children to state schools where they are exposed to non-Muslim teachers who have no respect for Islamic faith and Muslim community and do not understand the needs and demands of the Muslim children. Muslim schools are crucial for Muslim children because western education makes a man/woman stupid. The hypocrisy of the Western society is clearly seen whereas an Australian Judge failed to jail nine males who admitted gang-raping a 10-year old aborigine girl in 2005, saying the victim probably agreed to have sex with them and a UNICEF Photo of the year shows, a bridegroom, 40, with his 11-year old bride in Afghanistan. In my opinion, a UNICEF photo of the year must show a nine year British girl having a baby and another photo showing a gang of teenage girls with anti-social behaviour and vomiting out side a pub, thanks to binge drinking.  Muslim children need state funded Muslim schools with Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods. Muslim schools are the solutions and not a problem. They help to strengthen community cohesion, not undermine it. Muslim schools stand as shining beacons of light, serving as one of the most crucial factors which protect Muslim children from the onslaught of Eurocentricism, homosexuality, racism and secular values and traditions.  They need to be well versed in Standard English to follow the National Curriculum and go for higher studies and research to serve humanity. At the same time they need to be well versed in Arabic, Urdu and other community languages to keep in touch with their cultural roots and enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry. Muslim schools are not only faith schools but also bilingual schools. Infact, bilingualism is an asset and not a problem as perceived by the British education system. There is a positive co-relation between language and culture. English language is associated with western culture. The silent majority of Muslim parents would like to send their children to Muslim schools but there are not enough schools to go by. The only alternative left is either British Government should introduce voucher system for parents to choose the school of their choice or designate all those state schools as Muslim community schools where Muslim pupils are in majority. There are hundreds of state schools where Muslims are in majority. Such schools may be handed over to Muslim educational Trusts or charities for their management. They are in a better position to educate Muslim children in accordance with their needs and demands. This demand is in accordance with the law of the land because there are state schools already managed by private companies. Muslim community is not asking for a favour. It is their legal right. iffy your ranting and raving make no sense in this world whatsoever, with your childish moaning about poor education for moslem  children,it is not a right in this country ,remember you are a guest and not a welcome guest at that, you come to this country seeking asylum when in reality you are here to milk our benefit system.you have the audacity to take a living from this country without ever putting a penny into the kitty, then at the first chance you moan like a little child, now clever head we will talk a few facts about the poor so called education for moslems,go down to your library and look at the national newspapers from about 2 or 3 weeks ago, there if you can read is a statement,on the front pages from the ministry of education.she states that the poor level of educational intake from the moslem community, is the very fact that there has been too much inbreeding among the moslem community, there are no problems with other ethnic minoritys, indeed a lot of immigrants in this country are getting very good results from our education system, with the exception of the moslems, which suggests to me inbreeding is tantemount to incest, which is illegal in this country so the moslems are breaking the law there, and does your god allah, give you people the right to incestial behaviour with your children, now this statement was issued by the department of education, and puts the blame squarely on the shoulders of the moslem parents,i think its high time that the home office was informed of your insults to the queen and citizens of this country, how you have attached, yourself like a parasite to our welfare system, then insult us,perhaps the home office can be persuaded to deport you back to your country of origine,,jim

'British schooling is the home of institutional racism'This is clearly not true. How would it be possible that some ethnic minorities such as the Chinese, black Africans, Sikhs and Hindus manage to outperform the native population despite often having English as a second language.'Majority of Muslim children are from Pakistan'Also not true. Certainly not here in London anyway. Muslims come from a wide number of countries of which Pakistan provides not even the largest number let alone the majority. Pakistani (and Banglideshi) children do significantly underperform the average so something clearly does need to be done for them but teaching them Urdu would be well down the list.I have no problem with the opening up of further Muslim schools but as a taxpayer I would expect Muslims to provide the buildings and part fund maintenance like other faiths have to do. It would be wrong to hand over a school simply because Muslim children were in a majority. The same principle would have to apply for all faiths and a large number of schools would be taken over by the Church. I am not against Church schools per se but I would want secular education to be available for my own children.Given that the growth in the number of Muslim schools in this country is likely to remain slow your energies would be better spent trying to work out what are the deficiencies in your own community that are leading to the relatively poor performance of your children in local schools. If your error ridden and poorly argued points are what passes for academic rigour at the London School of Islamics then perhaps a look in the mirror would be the first place to start in the effort to improve this problem.

Pagan-Hindu-Judeo-Christian tradition? That's a new one. Islam  is a branch of the Judeo-Christian tradition and none of these religions had anything much to do with Hinduism which is an eastern tradition. Yours in a nonsense categorisation.I don't know the statistics but honour killings in this country at least seem to be predominantly a Muslim problem. Certainly pagans and Christians have long since abandoned the practise. It is laughable to try and shift the blame to other traditions and shows a lack of willingness to take responsibility for problems in your own community. This is similarly evident in the call for Muslim schools. Blaming the existing education system ignores the fact that children from other non-English speaking ethnic backgrounds actually excel in the schools in this country. Hindu, Sikh, black African and Chinese children outperform the indigenous population. One of the worst performing groups is Muslim children from the Indian sub-continent. Even if you ignore the lack of teachers qualified to teach in Urdu that Iftikhar would require, you still would first have to tackle the basic deficiencies in literary and numeracy. How could Muslim children (particularly the majority who will have no family tradition of speaking Urdu) be expected to cope with learning a 'community' language when many of them are struggling with the basics of the curriculum. It is interesting that the communities whose children are excelling academically are also the ones that have been more successful in setting up schools for their own communities. Several Sikh and Hindu schools have been opened up in London in recent years and their results have been stunning. The schools were set up not out of a sense of wanting to disassociate from the rest of society but due to the desire to maximise the academic performance of children whilst maintaining an understanding of their own traditions. I'm sure when applying to set up their schools their sponsors did not treat the authorities to an offensive whine about the deficiencies of the existing educational system and the flaws of Western Society in general. The success of these schools has convinced me there is a place for an expansion of the faith school sector in the non-Christian religions even Muslim ones. My Muslim neighbours send their children to a private Muslim school and the children are excelling in their exams. If there was sufficient desire within the community to set up schools in the state sector this is what would happen as the Sikhs and Hindus have demonstrated. My concern would be that the culture of blame epitomised by the outpourings of the 'London School of Islamics' is starting to become the culture of failure. Muslim children are being let down by their community if all their parents are doing to try and bring up educational standards to an acceptable level is blame others for the problem.
