M1 farce

If you have been up the M1 over the last couple of years you will have been inconvenienced by the widening of the motorway between St Albans and Luton for the introduction of the High Occupancy Vehicle lane.  This has cost millions of pounds and has now been scrapped because it is considered too dangerous to operate and impossible to enforce.  Yet again Joe Public has to foot the bill for planning and ministerial incompetence.M1 lane sharing farce
