Good home needed for electric organs

The Salvation Army charity shop in Wandsworth finds itself with TWO electric organs (normally £300 secondhand) and needs the space.  If there is any school or organisation that would like them for FREE, please call the manager on 0208 871 1812 and he will also arrange to deliver them.....

... was out playing in Kingston on Saturday.  It is so nice to hear real music playing - especially real Christmas Carols.  Thank you!The band was pretty small though - and none of the 'wrap around instruments' they are famous for having in their bands.  I used to take the children up to ask the musicians to play their deepest/lowest notes which made us all chuckle.  I think the band was the only real festive thing I saw in the crush - even the musical bears in the Bentalls centre stopped singing, to advertise!  That has to be the pits!  :-(

I have just remembered - the students taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh schemes have to take on voluntary work, too.  There are probably D of E coordinators around ... anyone know?

I am afraid that I am not e-bay user friendly - I ask my sons, who are.  Have you thought about approaching the local schools for a volunteer?  I think the sixth formers try and do voluntary work and this sort of thing would look good on a university CV, as well as working well for you!What happened to the organs? :-)

The manager of the shop "Jumps through whoops" to make sure as little as possible has to be disposed of other than via the till and usually tries all avenues - the shop sells books via Amazon, a dealer uses his e-bay account, and he even manages to sell broken electrical items, has a man who repairs watches, another who repairs cameras...etc etc so I can assure you that the organs will only be "dumped" as a very, very last resort.....On the subject, if there is anyone out there interested in setting up and running an e-bay account in/for the shop they should talk to the manager, Richard on 0208 871 1812.

Daniel Have you tried "e-bay"? which might produce a sale or "freecycle" which would pass them on for free to somebody who wanted them?  Not the dump, surely!  :-(

Currently we are waiting for a teacher from a school in East Sheen to come and take a look, if not, unfortunately they are off to the dump on Thursday.
