most definately a jay, colouring similar to bullfinch , but looking more carefully definately a jay . i live in kent and my back garden backs onto a 200 acre wood , we have a pair of jays that have nested here for the last two years ,for those two years the have produced two chicks that have grown and flown the nest , the jays as someone pointed out are very timid birds but were not afraid to dig worms in my garden , but the cream on the cake is we also have two green woodpeckers that seem to nest quite regularly as well , they are a truly wonderful sight in the garden ,
