Pensioners in peril as Sainsbury's closes

As a frail pensioner, I am writing to express my grave concern over the closure of much-loved Garratt Lane Sainsbury's. For many elderly people such as myself, the morning shopping trip is the highlight of the day. Now, with nowhere to go while Sainsbury's is refurbished, we will have to stay at home and watch dreary daytime television - with bare cupboards to boot. Come on, Sainsbury's, hurry up and open your store again! Don't think comic reference to Alzheimers are definitely bad taste. A long time ago comedian Jasper Carrot attracted a huge amount of criticism for a routine based round his personal experience of dealing something with the disease. As I was in a similar situation at the time I found what he was saying very funny and it offered a strange sort of comfort. Don't think Leopold means to be cruel although (sorry Leopold) he doesn't succeed at being funny either.
