Sign up for Brighter Living Event

Adult social care team holds free event for people with care and support needs

People who want to go along to the Brighter Living Fair in September, and organisations who want to get involved, are reminded that they can sign up now to secure their spot.

The event in the Wandsworth Civic Suite on September 20 will have more than 30 stalls from local charities, businesses and community groups where you can browse information and find out about local support. Visitors can try out a number of activities, such as fitness and movement classes, find out about keeping safe, and take part in a digital workshop.

You can also chat to council staff directly about key local services and take part in a Your Day Your Say workshop to give your views and help shape services in the future. You will also be able to enjoy refreshments at the all-day café, free of charge.

Organisations will be able to showcase their services. Get in touch if you offer support with health and wellbeing, help to reduce isolation, promote digital access for older people, or help people maintain their independence.

The council’s cabinet member for health and social care Cllr Melanie Hampton said: “The first Brighter Living Fair last year was a great success with more than 200 people going along to find out what support is available in Wandsworth to help them stay healthy, active and independent. We hope that this year’s fair will be even better, so get in touch now to ensure you get a place.”

Book your place, or apply to be a stallholder here.
