Cocaine Seized On West Hill, Putney

Local SNT also seized two illegal 'Pitbull type' dogs

On Tuesday 17th May 2011 officers from East Putney Safer Neighbourhood Team, assisted by colleagues from other Putney SNT wards and Met Police dog handlers, executed a search warrant at an address in Limpsfield Avenue SW19.

During the search police found quantities of class ‘A’ drugs including crack cocaine and cocaine powder in addition to smaller quantities of cannabis. Two dogs also discovered at the premises were believed to be illegal Pitbull types and so were seized for further inspection by specialist identification officers. One arrest was made.

PS Matt Snowden of East Putney SNT said
‘This is an excellent example of Safer Neighbourhood Teams taking positive and decisive action to tackle a local drugs problem after receiving complaints from the community. I would encourage all residents on Wandsworth Borough to report any concerns around such criminality to their local ward team so that they too can take steps to improve their community.’
