Transport Disruption This Weekend


Local tube and train services affected by engineering works

If you are planning to travel this Saturday or Sunday, December 6 and 7, the following lines are affected by engineering works.

December 7

Some lines between Waterloo and Clapham Junction and all lines between Clapham Junction and Barnes will be closed all day Sunday for maintenance and renewal work.
Until early Sunday afternoon all lines in the Barnes area will be closed.

All South West Trains services will use platforms 5-8 at Vauxhall and platforms 7-11 at Clapham Junction.

Queenstown Road station will have no service and passengers should use other stations nearby.

Buses will replace trains between Clapham Junction and Richmond/Kew Bridge for local journeys, and the following routes will be diverted or altered:

Waterloo - Reading
Waterloo - Windsor
Waterloo - Weybridge via Staines
Kingston Loop Services
Ascot - Guildford

Overground

Sunday 7 December

Until 1230pm, no service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction due to Network Rail infrastructure works. Replacement buses operate between Canada Water and Clapham Junction. First through trains are at 1205 from Highbury & Islington and 1232 from Clapham Junction.

Replacement buses operate Service M: Canada Water - Surrey Quays - Queens Road Peckham - Peckham Rye - Denmark Hill - Clapham High Street - Wandsworth Road - Clapham Junction.


district line

Friday 26 - Tuesday 30 December

In connection with track replacement in the Earl’s Court area and line improvement works, the District Line train service will be suspended between Ealing Broadway/Wimbledon/Richmond/Kensington (Olympia)/Edgware Road and Embankment.

The Piccadilly line will operate a revised service including trains running between Ealing Broadway and Acton Town and all trains running via the "stopping" lines stopping at all stations between Acton Town and Hammersmith.

Three rail replacement bus services will operate:

Service A: Wimbledon – Wimbledon Park – Southfields – East Putney – Putney Bridge – Hammersmith

Service B: Wimbledon – Putney Bridge – Parsons Green – Fulham Broadway – West Brompton – Earl’s Court

Service C: Richmond – Kew Gardens – Gunnersbury – Chiswick Park – Turnham Green

circle line

Friday 26 - Tuesday 30 December

The Circle line will be suspended between Edgware Road and Aldgate, via Victoria

Overground

Saturday 27 December

Until 0815 , no service between Clapham Junction and Kensington (Olympia) due to Earl's Court redevelopment works. Valid tickets will be accepted on local London Buses services via any reasonable route.

Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 December

No service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction / West Croydon / Crystal Palace due to Network Rail Thameslink and station works. Replacement buses operate

Replacement buses operate Service M: Canada Water - Surrey Quays - Queens Road Peckham - Peckham Rye - Denmark Hill - Clapham High Street - Wandsworth Road - Clapham Junction Service N: Canada Water - Surrey Quays - New Cross Gate Also between London Bridge - New Cross Gate - Brockley - Honor Oak Park - Forest Hill - Sydenham - Crystal Palace - Anerley (For Penge West) - Norwood Junction - Selhurst - West Croydon
