Forthcoming Disruption on Public Transport


Tubes and trains affected by engineering works

Strike Action Planned

RMT drivers will not be booking on for their shifts between noon on Wednesday 26 September and noon on Friday 28 September and then again between 8.30pm on Friday 28 September and 1.30am hours on Saturday 29 September.

If the strike goes ahead there will be no Piccadilly line Night tube service on Friday night 28 September / Saturday morning 29 September. Passengers are advised to complete their journeys by 10pm on Friday and full services are expected to resume by 8.30am Saturday morning.

Circle line engineering works

Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 September

No Circle line service throughout the line.

Hammersmith and City Line

Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 September

No service between Hammersmith and Moorgate

Please use alternative London Underground lines or local London Buses services.

District line

Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 September

No service between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road.

South Western Rail

Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 September

Some lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction (including about half of London Waterloo station) will be closed all day Saturday and Sunday for track maintenance. A reduced train service will run in and out of London Waterloo on the lines which remain open.

South Western Railway services will use platforms 1 to 4 at Vauxhall. Many trains will leave London Waterloo from different platforms to normal - please check displays at station.

Queenstown Road station will have no service. Please use other stations nearby.

Vauxhall station will have a reduced train service and you may need to change trains at Clapham Junction.

All lines in the Twickenham area will also be closed for track maintenance and work at stations this weekend.

Many train services will make additional stops or use alternative routes with longer journey times. A revised timetable will run and some trains will leave London Waterloo earlier than normal.

No service between Hammersmith / Kensington Olympia / Wimbledon and Gloucester Road / High Street Kensington. Replacement buses operate.

South Western Rail

Altered train services and replacement buses between Clapham Junction and Twickenham / Hounslow

All lines in the Barnes area and part of Clapham Junction station will be closed all day Sunday for track and bridge maintenance. All South Western Railway services will use platforms 7-11 at Clapham Junction.

Queenstown Road station will be closed today. Please use other stations nearby.

  • Trains between London Waterloo and Reading will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, calling at Wimbledon and Kingston.
  • An hourly train service will run between London Waterloo and Windsor and will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Twickenham, calling at all stations via Wimbledon and Kingston.
  • An hourly train service will run between Richmond and Windsor via Twickenham.
  • An hourly stopping train service will run between Richmond and Kingston via Twickenham.
  • Replacement bus services will run between Clapham Junction and Twickenham to connect with the above train services.
  • The circular service to and from London Waterloo via Kingston and the extra Sunday afternoon and evening services to Kingston via Hounslow will not run. Please use other altered train services and the replacement buses.
  • Trains to and from Woking via Hounslow and Staines will start from / terminate at Kew Bridge.
  • Replacement bus services will run between Clapham Junction and Kew Bridge.

London Overground engineering works

Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October

No service between Willesden Junction and Shepherd's Bush.

Central Line Weekend Engineering works

No planned engineering works
