Residents Reminded to Register to Vote in General Election

New voters must register by midnight on November 26

British, Irish and qualifying Commonwealth citizens are all eligible to vote in the Parliamentary election.

Anyone who is not registered to vote should visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote as soon as possible. You will need to provide your name, address, date of birth and national insurance number. Once your application has been received, Wandsworth Council’s Electoral Services team may need to contact you to request further information, so make sure you apply early.

Students are entitled to register at both their home and term-time address, although they can only cast their vote in one of them.

Those who are registered and would like a postal vote can download a form from www.yourvotematters.co.uk.

For more information visit www.wandsworth.gov.uk/vote.
