Remember that the council will collect real trees and cards and paper can be recycled

Wrapping paper, Christmas cards and envelopes, drinks cans, glass bottles, jars, juice cartons and plastic bottles can all be placed in recycling sacks – but metallic 'foil' style wrapping paper should not be included.


Collection days
There are no changes to waste collection days over the Christmas and New Year period. All collections will be carried out on your normal day.

Christmas tree recycling
Christmas trees will be collected on normal collection days between Tuesday 3 January and Monday 16 January 2017. Residents are requested not to leave trees on pavements unless there is absolutely nowhere else at the front of their property to leave it. Trees should only be left out on normal collection days and not before.

Household Waste and Recycling Centre - Smugglers Way
Smugglers Way Household Waste and Recycling Centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Normal opening hours apply on all other public bank holidays.
