As more online services move across to the new portal in the months ahead, people will also be able to manage their parking and benefits accounts in one place.

Users will then just need to sign in to the new “My Account” page, rather than having different logins for different services.

As of October 15th the old council tax webpage is being taken offline so residents will need to set up their new account on the portal in order to access the service. This should take around ten minutes.

As new services move across to the portal they will appear automatically, so account holders will not need to sign up again.

On the new site you can currently access the following council tax services:

• View your account and payments online
• See your payment schedule online
• View your Council Tax bill online
• Register for online eBilling
• Apply for some discounts
