New Image & New Website For The Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce

Mayor Jane Cooper congratulates Wandsworth Chamber on new branding

The presentation of Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce’s new branding and website followed the AGM at the Hotel Verta on 21st Sept and was led by the Chamber’s Chairman, Chris Wyatt supported by the newly appointed CEO, Alastair Alexander and media design specialist Brian Galloway.

Unfortunately, the launch coincided with an emergency Council meeting to discuss the recent looting so Mayor Jane Cooper JP was unable to be present but sent a letter of Good Wishes which was read out. “ I should like to congratulate you in this big step and I hope we can work closely together in engaging the business community in Wandsworth,” she said.

“The business community is going through tough times” said Chamber Chairman Chris Wyatt “and we felt we should be doing more to stimulate business in the Community. We’ve started by increasing the number of events, both networking and informational. But it’s not just enough to have more goods in the shop: we also need to present them better in our shop window. That meant a completely revised website. Additionally, we felt the logo was old-fashioned so we decided to undertake a complete rebranding exercise.”

The Chamber called upon the services of Alastair Alexander, a long-time Wandsworth resident and experienced business man to coordinate it. Alastair first recruited the services of Brian Galloway, a media design specialist with experience in the advertising industry to create not just a new logo but a whole new image for the website. Working closely with 3mil, the web designers they have created a completely new image, which will be up-to-date and proactive.

“ We want the website to be the first port of call for anyone wanting to be involved with business in the Borough,” said Alastair Alexander “so this meant creating a News page, a totally new events booking system and information about the services that the Chamber can provide”.
