Wanted!  Volunteer Speakers

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People are looking for volunteers

Are you an enthusiastic and confident speaker with the ability to inspire people from all walks of life?  Would you like to become part of a large family of fundraising volunteers?

Registered charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has a dedicated network of volunteers throughout the UK who work to promote awareness of the Charity.  Our speakers visit groups and organisations to spread the word about the work of Hearing Dogs and help raise vital funds for the training of hearing dogs.

Volunteer Speakers are our regional ambassadors.  The role is an important one as often this is the first time that people will have heard about the wonderful work our dogs do, and how they change the lives of profoundly deaf people.

Volunteer speakers give as much or as little time as they choose to fit in with their own lifestyles.  Talk requests passed to a speaker will be within an agreed geographical area and the speaker will confirm the talk at a mutually convenient time with the group.  We provide training, any necessary equipment, and on-going support while our speakers deliver the talk, spread the Hearing Dogs’ message and take the applause!
