Employ Wandsworth Jobs Fair 2017

Offering hundreds of new job opportunities and employment advice

The Employ Wandsworth careers fair returns to the Wandsworth Civic Suite on Friday April 21, offering local people the chance to meet with companies offering hundreds of job opportunities to suit all levels.

The event, organised by Wandsworth Council’s Work Match team, offers local people expert advice on CVs, interview skills, career development and business start-up. So far the Work Match team has found jobs for more than 600 people.

Anyone living in Wandsworth is invited to come along and see how they can benefit, whether they’re seeking employment from entry to professional level, returning to work, or needing help finding the right career. Those who are currently in education or training are also encouraged to come along and see what’s on offer.

Visitors can take advantage of face to face meetings with employers to discuss vacancies, as well as access training to enhance their prospects.

Last year’s event was visited by more than 1000 residents, from a range of different ages and career backgrounds.

Employment and skills spokesperson Councillor Kim Caddy said, “Last year’s Employ Wandsworth was a huge success, and I’m delighted to announce its 2017 return. Wandsworth’s economy is growing and this event is one of the ways the council can ensure local people benefit from our record levels on new investment.

“To have expert advice and potential employers all under one roof is a great opportunity, and I encourage local people who are looking for work, or considering a change in their career, to come along and see what’s on offer.”

Register online at employwandsworth.org, and be first in line to meet exhibitors on the day.

Work Match is free, exclusively for Wandsworth residents, with apprenticeships, part-time work and full time positions on offer. The Work Match team also offers coaching in the run up to interviews, pre-employment training, guidance with applications, and help to build confidence.
