Morning Traffic Delays Caused By Accident On A3  


Motorcyclist taken to hospital


At 8 am two ambulance crews and a single responder were called to the scene of an accident, at Robin Hood Gate junction after a crash on the northbound side of the A3.

The motorcyclist, a 49-year-old man had suffered injuries to his right arm and shoulder and was stabilised at the scene before being taken to St George’s Hospital.

Police closed a lane of the motorway until just before 9am to clear the crash site. Causing major tailbacks on the A3, with delays from West Hill in Putney, New Malden, and beyond as far as Claygate.
