Do You Know An Inspirational Learning Story?

Nominations for Adult Learners' Week awards close this Thursday

If people want to celebrate the remarkable learning achievements of someone they know, a friend, relative or someone they teach, then they have until next Thursday to nominate them for an award.

Every year the Adult Learners’ Week Awards celebrate the incredible achievements of adult learners in England. These awards acknowledge how people from across the country are using learning to improve their lives and the lives of their families and friends.

For 2014 a series of awards will be presented - for senior learners, young adults, for people learning at work (including Apprentices), with their family and/or in their community and for those improving their English, maths and other essential life skills. We also have a range of awards to recognise the impact of European Social Funded provision for individuals and projects.
There are also awards for providers and employers who give adults unique opportunities to use learning to transform their lives.

We want to hear inspirational learning stories. Nominations for the Adult Learners’ Week Awards in England are open until 5pm Thursday 30th January 2014. People can make sure that individuals and providers get the recognition they deserve by filling out a nomination form online at www.alw.org.uk/nominate. Everyone nominated will receive a certificate, regardless of whether they win an award.
