Libraries Offer Sound and Vision Specials

Deals on Films and Albums for Wandsworth Dwellers

Film and music buffs can now enjoy some extra entertainment for free when they visit a Wandsworth library.

From today, Monday, music lovers can take out three CDs for the price of two – with the cheapest one free of charge. And film buffs who hire the latest blockbuster DVD in the premium priced category can borrow a standard priced one absolutely free.

The borough's libraries have a wealth of CDs and DVDs to cater for all tastes. There are strong and eclectic collections of jazz, rock'n'roll, pop, dance, world music and sounds from across the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. And when it comes to films, libraries have something for everyone from the latest all-star movies to art house, world cinema and instructional and educational DVDs.

The collections are a broader range than found in most local video stores and as well as enjoying films from Hollywood, the instructional DVDs present the opportunity to learn a new language, cook like a top chef or work on your mind, body and spirit.

This super summer offer ends on September 30 – but further attractive offers will follow in the autumn.
