Drop-In Money Advice Shop Opens Monday

Offering free, confidential and impartial financial advice

The shop will open on Monday 15th February in Southside Shopping Centre for residents worried about money or who are struggling to manage until their next wage or benefit payment. You can just drop-in at any time while you shop.

Help includes:
* Free advice about housing benefit and council tax
* Free guidance on making your money go further
* Tips on how to reduce your energy bills
* Free advice on benefits

The Wandsworth Plus Credit Union will also be there to explain how they can help. The council has teamed up with the not-for-profit credit union to help local people get access to affordable and ethic savings and loans.

The council’s finance spokesman Cllr Guy Senior said, “We know it can be hard to make ends meet, but often simple changes can make a big difference, so our Financial Inclusion Team and the Credit Union have teamed up to offer this free pop-up advice shop. It’s all completely free and you’ll be under no pressure to take any of the advice they offer, or sign up for anything, if you don’t want to.”
