On
30 June, 1 & 2 July 2006 people around the UK will be organising and
taking part in bike rides for the NSPCC Big Bike Ride fundraising
event.
Lorna
Fraser, NSPCC Communications Officer said; It really doesn't matter if
you are two or 102, the Big Bike Ride is fun for everyone. Rides
can be as simple as a circuit around the local park or cycle track, or
for those with a bit more energy, a ride across the whole of South West
London! This event is even suitable for people who don't have a bike
you could simply contact your local gym and ask if you can use their exercise
bike to clock up the miles as long as you're on a bike, you'll be on
the Big Bike Ride .
The
NSPCC has teamed up with organisations like the National Cycle Network
and the Forestry Commission to allow access to thousands of miles of urban
and rural traffic-free and traffic-calmed cycle routes to help ensure
a safe and fun bike ride.
