An opportunity for police & community to establish relationships
Project Griffin Awareness Days are an opportunity to share information and to establish relationships and networks between the police and the community. The presentations from specialist officers and your local police are designed to give you increased confidence to report suspicious activity and behaviour.
Topics covered include:
• The nature of the threat currently posed by terrorism and extremism
• Hostile Reconnaissance: what it is and how to report it
• What to consider in the event of a terrorist attack or incident
• How to deal with suspicious items.
The Awareness Days are by invitation only but are free to attend. They are an opportunity to meet police to learn more about how you can help keep London safe. These sessions will be supplemented by regular communications from police in your area to ensure you are aware of any developments and so that you are able to share any information or concerns.
They will be holding our Project Griffin awareness day on Thursday 8th November 2012 at the Clapham Grand, just opposite the main entrance to Clapham Junction.
Registration is from 9 am with the event starting at 10am until 1pm approximately.
