Carmina Burana to be performed at St. Paul's Church, Southfields

Putney Choral Society with Conductor Christopher Braime, will bring a performance of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana with full orchestra and professional soloists to St. Paul's Church, Augustus Road, Southfields, SW19 6EW on Saturday 12 May 2018, at 7pm.

The Putney Choral Society is a sociable group of enthusiasts who love singing, currently comprising about 80 voices.

If you love singing... Come and join Putney Choral Society. A cheerful and friendly local choir, they are always glad to welcome new members, in all voice parts. Especially Tenors! There is no audition.

They rehearse at Putney High Junior School, Lytton Grove Putney SW15 6BH on Monday evenings from 7.15pm - 9.15pm. They continue their Summer Term from Monday, 14th May, when they begin rehearsing for the informal Summer concert.

You are welcome to come along for a couple of weeks during term time without any commitment. Just turn up on a Monday evening.

If you decide to join they ask that you pay a subscription, which goes towards covering costs.

People in employment: £75 per term
Pensioners over 65: £55 per term
Students and unwaged: £25 per term

The choir was founded in 1947 and, over the years, has performed much of the great classical choral repertoire, as well as a wide selection of contemporary and more unusual material.
