Wanted! Artists Around Putney & Wandsworth

Willing to open their doors for the Wandsworth Artists’ Open House 2018

Wandsworth-based artists and makers are invited to take part in Wandsworth Artists’ Open House 2018, with a special focus this year on young artists.

The event is a chance for artists, including painters, sculptors, potters, jewellery-makers and more, to open their home or studio to the public and share their talent with the local community.

Part of Wandsworth Council’s arts and culture programme, this October event is the perfect opportunity to discover a network of fellow artists in your area and to showcase and sell your work to the public.

If you’re keen to take part but don’t have a venue, organisers can help match you with a suitable space to show your work. If you are a venue or home owner happy to host another artist, please get in touch.

This year for the first time, the Royal College of Art is teaming up with Wandsworth Artists’ Open House to offer give bursaries to young artists and makers aged 16 to 25, including mentoring by one of their specialists. The young artist bursar fee, supported by the RCA, is £20. Contact the Arts Team to express an interest by emailing arts@enablelc.org, with the subject WAOH Bursary

For other artists there is an early-bird registration fee of £70 until June 1. Registration for venues is free. The event is over the weekends of October 6-7 and October 13-14.

Wandsworth Artists’ Open House is coordinated by Wandsworth Arts Team, part of Enable Leisure and Culture, on behalf of Wandsworth Council. The event is run in conjunction with a steering committee of local artists.
