Mayor To Open Wandsworth Community Wellbeing Day

Encouraging residents to think differently about health and wellbeing

Wandsworth Mayor Stuart Thom will open the innovative Wandsworth Community Wellbeing Day on 9th October. The event, being held at the Wandsworth Town Hall Civic Suite, is aimed at encouraging Wandsworth residents to think outside the box when it comes to health and wellbeing.

The event’s organisers at Lifetimes Charity want to demonstrate the variety of services that go into making us happy and healthy.

“All sorts of things contribute to health and wellbeing, including volunteering, access to advice, and community sector support. Wandsworth provides an abundance of these voluntary sector services and we wanted to showcase the great work our colleagues are doing in the borough,” said Lifetimes CEO Tina Champion.

The day, which runs from 12pm – 5pm, will pack in demonstrations from local dance, music and exercise groups, alongside information and advice stalls run by the leading community and voluntary sector organisations in the borough, as well as representatives from NHS health services.  All are welcome to drop in during the day.
