Get Active Festival This Saturday


Free activities including BMX track, climbing wall, tennis coaching and more

The Get Active Wandsworth Festival comes to King George’s Park this Saturday (July 18th).

This will be the sixth annual festival, and showcases the very best the borough has to offer in sport, physical activity and health and to inspire local people to get up and moving.

Thousands are expected to attend the event which takes place on Saturday July 18 in King George’s Park, Wandsworth from 12 noon to 5pm.

Get Active

It’s free to attend and there will be something for all ages to get involved in, including:  

  • A mobile boxing ring
  • A giant stage for outdoor performances
  • Fairground rides
  • Tennis coaching
  • Bike Maintenance
  • A BMX track
  • A chance to meet and race PAWS, the Active Wandsworth mascot
  • A year 5 and 6 school Mini Olympix competition
  • The Wandsworth Business Olympics
  • A mobile climbing wall
  • The chance to try a host of sports such as football, rugby, lacrosse and golf
  • Free NHS health checks
  • Inflatables, food and music

Wandsworth Radio will be presenting live from the event, and there will be live big screen sports action.
