55-year-old arrested on suspicion of being involved in drugs supply
Two men from London - one of whom is from Wandsworth - have been arrested on the Isle of Sheppey on suspicion of being involved in the supply of drugs after their car reportedly failed to stop when requested to do so.
Officers from the Swale Community Policing Team in Kent requested the vehicle to stop in the Richmond Street area, just after midday on Thursday 3 January 2019.
When the vehicle continued driving a pursuit took place, which ended when the suspect vehicle came to a stop in a field off Queenborough Road, Queenborough, at around 1pm.
A 55-year-old man from Wandsworth was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug, dangerous driving, failing to stop when requested to do so, aggravated vehicle taking and driving under the influence of drugs.
A 27-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug and aggravated vehicle taking.
Both men have been released, pending further enquiries.
