Enter Wandsworth Instagram Photo Competition

'What Wandsworth Means To Me' is the subject

Show what Wandsworth means to you through the medium of photography in this new Instagram competition.

What Wandsworth Means to Me has been organised by Wandsworth’s Youth Service in conjunction with the Mayor of Wandsworth, with sponsorship from Snappy Snaps Wandsworth.

If you are aged 13 and over, you are invited to capture life in the borough. You can chose any subject you want, including special events or just the everyday things that happen as part of day-to-day life in Wandsworth.

The person who takes the best picture will win an iPad, and postcards of the winning photo and the other best entries will be available for sale at a special exhibition at Southside Shopping Centre on April 12th to raise money for the Mayor’s Youth Charity.

The mayor, Cllr Angela Graham, said: “During my mayoral year I want to give the borough’s young people the chance to show what they are capable of. We’ve already seen some real talent in the Wandsworth Young Chef, Youth Fashion and Wandsworth Dragon’s Den competitions.

“Now I want to see if the borough has any budding photographers. I hope this competition will encourage young people to be creative and will give an insight into what the youth of Wandsworth see as meaningful in the borough’s day-to-day life.”

To enter, simply post your entries on Instagram before March 30th with the tag #mywandsworth.
