Polling stations shut at 10pm this evening
Queues have been reported in polling stations in the area so there are increased hopes of a much improved turnout compared with general elections in recent years.
Results in local constituencies for the general election will be declared through the night with the first one in London expected to be Tooting. Putney is due at 1.30am with results from most other seats likely to be announced between 4am and 5am. The expected declaration times have been supplied by the Press Association.
We have people at all the counts and will publish the results as soon as possible after they are announced.
