Businesses in Putney & Wandsworth - Your Views Are Wanted

Help shape business support services

Wandsworth based businesses are being asked to fill out an online survey aimed at identifying the support services they value most, those which could be improved and those which they no longer use.

It also examines ways of enhancing communication between the business community and the town hall to ensure local firms have easy access to important information and advice.

Businesses which complete the survey will be automatically entered into a draw to win a meal for two at a local restaurant.

Executive member for economic development and business partnerships Cllr James Cousins said the survey is part of the Wandsworth Challenge – an initiative aimed at improving the way the council provides service and works with the local community.

He said: “The business world is constantly changing and councils must keep pace to ensure services remain relevant, effective and offer the best value for money. This is especially true in today’s turbulent financial climate which is throwing up new challenges and difficulties for local firms to contend with.

“This listening exercise is part of our commitment to continuously improving the way we work with local firms and I urge them to take a few minutes to share their insights with us.

“We are very proud of our reputation as a pro-business council and our track record in attracting new investment and new jobs to the borough. Our success so far has been based on a close working relationship with our business community and an eagerness to listen to their concerns and respond to their changing needs.”
