The Council Wants Your Views

As it reviews its policy on how it enforces rules aimed at protecting local people

Wandsworth Council Wandsworth Council is reviewing its policy on how it enforces rules aimed at protecting residents of the borough.

The policy affects all enforcement work carried out by the environmental services department, including:

Food standards
Food hygiene
Health and safety
Licensing
Trading standards
Noise
Pest control
Air quality
Standards of privately-rented homes
Residents, businesses, landlords and other groups and public agencies are being urged to comment so their views can help shape the final document.

Following the publication of the Regulators Code 2014 and a major review of the environmental services team, the policy is being revised to reflect the revised provisions in the code and a new service structure which now includes private sector housing.

The current policy and the proposed new one, plus an online survey, are available on the council’s website - or click the relevant link.

You can also email your comments to esd@wandsworth.gov.uk.

The deadline for comments is midnight on June 26.
