CCTV Image Of Burglar Raiding Phone Shop Released


As Wandsworth Police appeal for public's help

Detectives from Wandsworth are releasing an image and appealing for the public's help to track down a burglar.

The offence happened at approximately 04:30am on Monday, 22 December 2014 at a phone shop in Tooting High Street.

The shutters at the front of the shop were forced open and the burglar entry gained via the front door.

Phones with an estimated value of £6000 were stolen.

As the shop owner was not insured the entire loss was borne by his business.

The suspect was caught entering the shop on CCTV.

Despite enquires police have been unable to identify the burglar and are appealing for the public’s help.

Detective Constable Andy Pattison from Wandsworth CID said: “This burglary represented a substantial loss to a local business. We are asking the public to look carefully at the image and see if they can identify the burglar.”
