Saturday 28th of January:  11am to 1pm
Roar! 2012 is the Year of the
Dragon. Celebrate the Chinese New Year at Wandsworth Museum by making your own little dragon to take home. A drop in workshop for families, this crafty activity is suitable for children 4+. Free with Museum admission.

Tuesday 14th of February: 11am-1pm
Make a splash! To celebrate the opening of Dear Lido Exhibition at Construction Gallery Tooting, funded by the Outer London Fund, Wandsworth Museum invites you to come discover some hands on history and create a fabulou,s kitsch, vintage-inspired swimming cap. Taking place at Wandsworth Museum, free activity with museum admission.

 
Evening Events

Thursday 2nd February,  Late Night Opening – Wander the Museum’s galleries with a glass of wine from the bar and enjoy 20% off all books and selected gifts from the Museum Shop after 6pm. The neighbouring De Morgan Centre will also be open late! Normal admission applies.

 

Thursday 9th February, 160 Years of Wandsworth Prison – Stewart McLaughlin, Honorary Curator of Wandsworth Prison Museum, will give a talk on the history of the prison from its 1851 origins as the Surrey House of Correction, to the present day. Followed by a Q&A. £5 inc exhibition admission after the talk, until 9.30pm. (See also the separate calendar story.)
