Half term events for Families:

Romans & Celts

Tues 18 & Wed 19 Feb, 2-4pm

Discover the Celts who lived in Wandsworth and the ruthless Romans who invaded in 43AD.  We’ll be dressing up, exploring Roman artefacts and trying some Roman-inspired craft activities.  Dress as a Roman soldier or have your face painted with woad like a Celtic warrior!

Keep It Clean!

Poo! What’s that smell? It’s Wandsworth Museum’s latest exhibition, telling us about the history of dirt and hygiene in Wandsworth and London.  Join in for some rubbish craft activities and bubbly fun!

Easter holiday events for Families:

Ice Age Wandsworth

Tues 8 Apr, 2-4pm

20,000 years ago huge mega-mammals like woolly mammoths and woolly rhinos roamed the icy plains of Wandsworth.  Come and learn about these fascinating creatures and how ancient man created art to depict them.  Make your own brrrrilliant Ice Age artworks to take home!

Lotions & Potions

Wed 9 Apr, 2-4pm

Discover the fascinating history behind herbal remedies from Tudor times to today, and make your own to take away! We’ll be making Tudor nosegays, Victorian potions, and sampling some delicious minty lime fizz.

Wild Wandsworth

with potter Bessie Millar

Tues 15 & Wed 16 Apr, 2-4pm

Help create a menagerie of clay creatures inspired by the beasts and birds of Wandsworth.  Experiment with carving, modelling and wire sculpting with experienced potter Bessie Millar.
