Wandsworth Police Officer Denies Voyeurism


DC Williams is suspended from duty and appears in court

Daniel Williams, a 36-year-old detective constable on Wandsworth Borough, was arrested on Wednesday 19th November and charged on that same day with three counts of voyeurism

Yesterday DC William appeared in Southwark Crown Court where he pleaded not guilty to all three counts and was bailed to appear at Southwark Crown Court on Monday 15th December.

He has been suspended from duty. The charges are part of an ongoing investigation by the Directorate of Professional Standards Anti-Corruption Command.

In a separate incident Mark Toulson, aged 33 and a serving police officer from Wandsworth, was arrested in Wimbledon High Street on Thursday 27th November.

He has been charged with being drunk and disorderly, using threatening behaviour, two counts of resisting arrest and obstructing the police.

Toulson, who was not on duty at the the time, will appear before Wimbledon magistrates on December 12th.

A Met statement added: "The status of the officer will be reviewed in due course. Officers from Merton are investigating the matter and the Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed."
