Free Festive insight into Christmas "Past, Present and Future" at Wandsworth Museum
Discover traditional Christmas decorations and learn how Father Christmas evolved into the legend we know today. Create a one of a kind reusable decoration.
Join the Christmas Card Making Workshop in Southside Central Mall from 2:00pm hosted by Collective Studios.
Wandsworth Town Library will host a story-time session themed "Christmas Celebrations across the world" for a range of children up to the age of 10. Start time 3:00pm.
Look out for our Roving Santa in Southside and at the lights switch on.
Christmas Procession.
Join West Hill Primary School and their wintery procession sculptures as they parade through Southside Shopping Centre to the light switch on outside all Saints Church at 4.50pm. Presented in partnership with the Pump House Gallery.
Annual Lights Carol Service at All Saints Church
Wandsworth High Street at approximately 4:00pm featuring representatives from St Cecelia's School and the National Opera Studio.
All participants will be invited to proceed to the switching on of the Christmas tree lights in the grounds of All Saints Church and also the Town Centre lights.
Christmas Light Switch On by the Mayor of Wandsworth Cllr. Adrian Knowles in the grounds of All Saints Church at 5:00pm; (preceded by the quiz) draw at 4:55pm.
All are welcome to share mince pies and mulled wine in All Saints Church after the event.
Wandsworth Town Library is also promoting a Christmas themed quiz on their blog and website from 1st November 2012. Drop your answers at the Library by 5pm on 30th Nov; to be entered in the prize draw for FREE cinema tickets, courtesy of Cineworld, Wandsworth. The winners will be drawn by the Mayor of Wandsworth at 4:55pm; just before the Christmas lights switch on.
