Celebrate Christmas early at the Pump House Gallery
Staff at the Pump House Gallery in Battersea Park are celebrating Christmas early by hosting two free Family Days this weekend.
Visitors are being called on to bring homemade decorations for the gallery’s Christmas tree as part of the festive fun days on Saturday and Sunday (December 10 and 11).
There will be seasonal sing-a-longs and a drop-in festive fabric wreath-making workshop both days between 11am and 3pm.
Staff are inviting visitors to bring decorations to support the idea behind the gallery’s current exhibition, 'I Am the Warrior', in which members of the public contribute work to go on display.
The exhibition features all kinds of creations - including collages, chairs and even chutney - contributed by community members of different artistic skill levels.
Anyone wanting to bring a homemade decoration for the tree can do so on the day. Booking is not necessary for the free events although materials for the wreath-making are limited.
