Witness Appeal... Attempted Robbery On East Hill


Shopkeeper fights back with curry powder

Police in Wandsworth are investigating an attempted robbery at East Hill Food and Wine, East Hill, SW18 on Tuesday 21 December at 7:35pm. Three men entered the convenience store and threatened the shopkeeper with violence by using knives. No property was taken.
 
All three suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. Curry powder was used by the shopkeeper to deter the suspects by throwing it towards them.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect1
White male, 5’7” - 5’9”, medium build, wearing a black puffa jacket with a hood, black trousers, black balaclava with eye holes and black gloves.
Suspect 2
White male, 5’5” - 5’7” in height, medium build, wearing a light blue or light purple puffa jacket with hood up, small white logo on right side of chest, black balaclava with eye holes, dark trousers and black gloves
Suspect 3
White male, wearing a black jacket, dark blue scarf pulled up over his mouth and nose, and white gloves.
