Arts Development Worker
In order to offer a balanced programme of activities to young people, the Arts Development Worker is based at the Resource Centre. The worker is available to support and advise on a wide variety of youth arts work/projects throughout the Borough. There is a small amount of arts equipment that can be loaned to registered youth groups.

Activities:In addition to running workshops at the Resource Centre in Drama, Dance and other art forms, the Arts Development Worker develops initiatives with numerous agencies borough-wide.

Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
The Award offers a progressive programme of leisure time activities for young people aged 14 – 25 years, which provide a personal and individual challenge. Schools, youth clubs, colleges and voluntary organisations run Award groups throughout the borough. The Open Awards Centre which is based at the Training and Resource Centre, Alma Road, SW18 provides support to new and existing groups, a variety of courses for young people and leaders, including expedition training, and has gained an Adventure Activity Licence to organise walking and camping trips in mountainous areas.

Training & Resource Centre
The Resource Centre is open to all those who work with young people and offers desk top publishing facilities, video editing, photography, a motor bike maintenance project, information on the latest developments in youth work and information on activities which can be undertaken with young people.

It also has a library of books and magazines on youth work. Resources can also be borrowed from the centre.

The Training & Resource Centre also provides a range of resources to support learning and a free equipment loan service for youth organisations in the Borough of Wandsworth.

Resources for use on site include, a video edit suite, computers, a computerised library system, a photocopier and a laminating machine.
