A sneak peek into local artists' life and work
The borough’s artists, craftspeople and designers are preparing to welcome the public into their homes and studios for this year’s Wandsworth Artists Open House weekends.
These will be taking place on 3-4 October and 10-11 October.
The annual event provides a sneak peek into the life and work of over 100 professional and amateur artists. Visitors get a unique chance to discover art in an informal setting and engage with the artists and designers directly.
Many artworks will be for sale and some open houses will offer hands-on artistic activities as well as demonstrations and presentations.
This year's programme will showcase a wide array of skills and talents, from crafts to design, sculpture, painting, printing, jewellery, photography, drawing, film and installations.
The event is organised by Wandsworth Council’s Arts Team in conjunction with an artists’ steering committee, and last year saw over 6,000 visits made to more than 100 venues across the borough.
