Woman Charged With Murder Over Discovery Of Baby Remains


Human baby remains were found on Tooting Bec Common

Police have charged Elita Amantova, 38, of no fixed abode with murder in relation to human remains found at a location in Doctor Johnson Avenue, Tooting Bec Common on 10th September, 2012.

The human remains were found at a location in Doctor Johnson Avenue, Tooting Bec Common.

A post-mortem examination took place at Great Ormond Street and was unable to ascertain a cause of death. The remains were thought to be those of a newborn baby born in the previous two weeks. The baby was white but the gender had not been ascertained.

Elita Amantova has been detained under s3 of the Mental Health Act and is due to appear at The Old Bailey.
