Elderly Man Killed On Battersea Park Road


78-year-old pedestrian was hit by a cement mixer

Detectives from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for information and witnesses following a fatal collision in Wandsworth.

Police were called just before 10.30am on Thursday 26 January to Battersea Park Road, at the junction with Cabul Road, to reports of a road accident involving a pedestrian and a cement mixer.

The pedestrian, a 78-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Although he has not been formally identified his next of kin have been informed. The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and was not arrested.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the events leading up to the collision to come forward.
