Appeal Following Sexual Assault On A Bus In Wandsworth

Officers from the Met Police's Roads and Transport Policing Command have released an image (above) of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an allegation of sexual assault on a bus in Wandsworth.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 23rd August on the number 344 bus to Clapham at about 9.10.

A 25-year-old woman boarded the bus at Elephant and Castle and went and sat on the top deck.

The suspect, who was sitting behind her, inappropriately touched her. At this point the bus was passing Battersea Power Station. After the victim challenged him, the suspect got up and left the bus.

The suspect is described as a black man, aged approximately 27 years old.
