Teenager Stabbed On Bus - Police Appeal For Witnesses


Incident on Number 93 in Merton Road

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information
following the stabbing of a teenager on a bus on Friday afternoon.
 
At approximately 14:40hrs police were alerted to a stabbed male on the number 93 bus in Merton Road South.
 
The ambulance service attended and the victim, in his late teens,
was taken to south London hospital suffering stab wounds. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
 
It is understood the suspect chased the bus along Merton Road and then forced his way onto the bus where he stabbed the victim, who was a passenger on the bus, in front of other passengers.
 
At this early stage officers are treating this as a targeted attack on the victim.
